  6. Memo to Editors: 
  7.          The second of a series of Surveyor spacecraft, designed 
  8. to soft land on the moon, will be launched from Cape Kennedy  
  9. during a launch period beginning Tuesday, September 20, and  
  10. ending Friday, September 23. 
  11.          The press room will be opened at JPL at 3:00 a.m.,  
  12. Tuesday.  The launch window for the first day is from 3:51 a.m.  
  13. to 5:32 a.m. 
  14.          Commentary on the mission will be provided during  
  15. major events.  The flight time to the moon will be about 63  
  16. hours.  If Surveyor succeeds in the soft landing and returns  
  17. lunar photographs to Earth, picture release will be at JPL. 
  18.          The following public information people will be  
  19. available during the mission.
